No Sweethearts Anymore For this Valentine’s Day as candy company Went Out Of Business


Sweethearts are unavailable from the shelves this year, as the company that makes the candy closes.

the conversation heart candies are the most popular confection for the holiday, making over  than $1.8 billion in sales. Sweethearts are also the most popular Valentine’s Day candy in united state (USA) . The candies are known for expressing, “Be Mine” and “Cutie Pie” .

This year, sales for the conversation hearts are expected to drop by more than 80 percent. 

Necco crease in July 2018 after operating for more than a century. Along with Sweethearts, Necco produced Mary Janes, Necco Wafers and Clark bars. 

Round Hill Investments bought Necco by an auction, who then sold the company to Spangler Candy Co. in September 2018. With petty time left until Valentine’s Day, the new owner did not have enough time to produce a big quantity of Sweethearts. 

However, the beloved candy will be back next year. 

The CEO of Spangler Candy Co., announces that “We are looking forward to announcing the relaunch of Sweethearts for the 2020 Valentine’s Day season.” 

You can still find the beloved candy now — but it will cost a pretty penny.
