When I was pregnant with my first baby, I knew I was going back to work when my maternity leave was over. It wasn’t my first choice but I had just been promoted at work and I loved what I was doing so I accepted that heading back to work was in my future.
Then I held my son for the first time and knew that there was no way I was going back to work willingly.
START WITH A BUDGET
If you are currently working outside of the home and want to be a stay at home mom, the first place you need to start is creating a budget. Without a budget, you don’t know how much money you need to survive each month or how much money you are really bringing home from your job after expenses (work clothes, daycare, convenience food).
